Elevation Exteriors is the exterior-cleaning division of Elevation Home Co., a Wyoming, MI family of West Michigan service brands founded in 2026 by Trey Johnson. We specialize in soft-wash house washing, soft-wash roof cleaning, driveway and concrete cleaning, gutter cleaning, and deck washing across the Grand Rapids metro. Plant-safe surfactants, no high-pressure on shingles, flat-rate quotes from a photo — no site visit required. The sibling brand to Elevation Garage Door.
The soft-wash standard
The exterior-cleaning industry has a problem: half the operators use 3000+ PSI on every surface — siding, soffits, roofs, even windows — and the results show within a year. Stripped paint, blown-out grout lines, lifted shingles, water under the siding. Pressure becomes a marketing word divorced from technique.
Soft-wash is the technique. Surfactants do the work; the water is just the rinse. Lower pressure, longer dwell time, better outcomes. Industry-standard for any vertical exterior surface and the only safe method for asphalt shingle roof cleaning.
What we clean
- House washing — vinyl, painted wood, fiber cement, brick. Soft-wash, mildew + algae + dirt removal. Most common service.
- Roof cleaning — black streaks (gloeocapsa magma algae) on asphalt shingles, moss on north-facing slopes. Soft-wash only — high pressure on shingles voids warranties and shortens roof life by 5-10 years.
- Driveway and concrete cleaning — pressure wash (this is where the PSI goes). Oil, rust, mildew, ground-in dirt.
- Gutter cleaning — debris removal, downspout flush, basic exterior gutter face wash for tiger-striping.
- Deck and fence washing — soft-wash on wood, prep for re-stain.
- Paver and patio cleaning — pressure wash + post-sand if needed.
- Rust removal — battery rust, well-water stains, irrigation rust on siding.

Founder
Trey Johnson, sole proprietor. West Michigan local. Built the predecessor pressure-washing operation to a small but well-reviewed local presence, now rebranded with the rest of the trade family under Elevation. Owner-operator; the crew is small by design.
What we don't do
We don't pressure-wash roofs. Asphalt shingles are not designed for high-pressure water. Doing it shortens shingle life dramatically and voids most manufacturer warranties. If a competitor is quoting "$200 to pressure wash your roof," they're either using soft-wash and miscalling it, or they're going to damage your roof. Ask which.
We don't use lawn-killing bleach mixes. The cheap soft-wash mix is straight sodium hypochlorite at 12%; it works but it kills plants on contact and runs off into storm drains. We use surfactant-buffered mixes that work nearly as fast and break down to inert components.
We don't run scare-tactic upsells. The price is the quote. No "we found more mildew while we were here" mid-job add-ons.
