- What's the catch?
- There isn't one, but there is a reason. We'd like a small sign in your yard for the day so your street sees who did it, we want to be the name you already know when the rest of the house needs doing, and we'd like the chance to price that work while we're standing there. - Will you quote me on other work?
- Yes, and that's part of what you get. While the walk dries we'll go round the property with you and give you flat prices out loud on anything you want — driveway, house wash, roof, gutters. Same published numbers as our pricing page, in writing before we pull away if you want them. Most companies charge for that visit.
- How much do you actually clean?
- The front walkway, the steps and the porch — up to 300 square feet of concrete, which covers almost every house around here. It takes about half an hour. We don't do the driveway free, because that's a real job and it starts at $179.
- Why give away work?
- Because it costs us a few dollars of cleaner and half an hour, and because most people around here have never watched anyone soft-wash anything. Showing you beats describing it. And a clean front walk usually makes the driveway next to it look terrible — we'd rather be the ones standing there with a price when you notice.
- When would you come?
- We batch these by neighborhood so we're not driving across town for half an hour of work, so it's usually about two weeks out — not same-day. We'll text you the morning we're coming. You don't need to be home, and nothing needs moving except a car off the walk.
- Is the green stuff on my walk actually a problem?
- For the concrete, no. For you, sometimes yes. It's algae, and the film on top gets genuinely slick when it's wet, which is worth taking seriously if kids or anyone unsteady on their feet uses that walk. That's the honest reason this is the surface we picked to give away.
- Can't I just do this myself?
- On flat concrete, yes — it's hard and forgiving and a rented machine with a surface cleaner does a good job. We say so on our own site. This offer just means you don't have to spend the Saturday. Where renting goes wrong is siding, roofs and decks, and that's a different conversation.
- Do you need anything from me?
- Your name, a phone number and the address so we can route the truck. Nothing else, no card, nothing to sign. The offer is capped at 25 homes in Wyoming, Grandville, Jenison and Hudsonville.
