What is that on my house?

Point at it below and we'll tell you what it is, whether it's actually doing damage, and whether you can clean it off yourself. Including the times you can — we'll say so.

Where are you seeing it?

Why we'll tell you when you don't need us

Three of the nine answers above say some version of "you can handle this one." That isn't an oversight. Most of what people spend on exterior cleaning gets spent badly — a rented machine pointed at siding, a roof stripped of its granules, a deck left with stripes that can't be sanded out of it. The damage from those usually costs more than the wash would have.

So: flat concrete is a fair Saturday job and we'll say so. A roof is not, and neither is siding, and you have no reason to believe the second half of that sentence from anyone who won't say the first. If it turns out you'd rather we did it, our prices are published — which almost nobody in this trade does.

Questions

Is this actually free?

Yes, and there's no email gate on it. You pick what you're looking at, you get the full answer — what it is, whether it's damaging your house, whether you can clean it yourself, and what we charge if you'd rather not. Nothing is asked for until after you already have the answer.

Why would you tell me I can do it myself?

Because it's true on some of them, and a page that says 'call us' about all nine answers isn't worth reading. Flat concrete genuinely is a rented-machine job. A roof genuinely is not — pressure washing one strips the granules off the shingles. You can't take the second one seriously from someone who won't say the first.

How accurate is it without seeing my house?

Very, for the nine things that account for nearly everything on a West Michigan home. Growth is regional and it behaves in patterns — color plus surface plus which side of the house is usually enough to name it. If yours doesn't match anything here, text a photo to 616-229-0625 and you'll get a straight answer back rather than a guess.

Are the prices real?

They're the same published starting prices as our pricing page — a house wash starts at $299 single-story and $529 two-story, and no visit is under $179. Every job is quoted flat before we start, so the number you agree to is the number you pay.

Do I have to book anything to use this?

No. Most people who use it are just trying to find out what they're looking at, and that's a fine reason to be here. If you want a flat quote afterwards, call or text us from the bottom of your answer — tell us what the tool named and you'll get a number back.
