Pressure Washing in the Grand Rapids Metro
Pressure washing has its place — on hard surfaces like concrete, brick, and stone. The skill is knowing when to use it and when to switch to soft washing instead. We do both, and we match the method to the surface. Text a photo for a flat-rate quote.
Pressure where it helps, soft-wash where it doesn't
"Pressure washing" and "soft washing" aren't competitors — they're two tools for two jobs. High pressure is right for hard, durable surfaces: concrete driveways, brick, and stone. Soft washing — low pressure plus a cleaning solution — is right for everything that high pressure would damage: roof shingles, vinyl and wood siding, painted surfaces, screens, and fences. Use the wrong one and you either don't clean it or you damage it.
If a company offers to pressure-wash your roof or your siding, that's the sign to call someone else. The full comparison is here: soft washing vs. pressure washing.
What we pressure-wash
Pressure washing is the right call for:
- Driveways, sidewalks, and concrete — with a rotary surface cleaner for an even finish.
- Patios, brick, and pavers — at controlled pressure that protects the joints.
- Steps, stoops, retaining walls, and other hardscape.
For siding, roofs, decks, and fences, we soft-wash — see the individual service pages for each.
Pressure Washing questions
Is pressure washing or soft washing better?
Neither is universally better — they're for different surfaces. Pressure washing is right for concrete, brick, and stone. Soft washing is right for roofs, siding, decks, and fences, where high pressure causes damage. A good cleaner uses both.
Should I pressure wash my house siding?
No. House siding should be soft-washed, not pressure-washed — high pressure can drive water behind siding, strip paint, and blow out caulk. Soft washing cleans deeper without the damage.
